1977 Bill Young started a Driving Team on the television series "ChiPs".
Bill coordinated complex freeway and street traffic scenes involving as
many as 120 drivers. This driving team supported the stunt personnel in
scenes involving cannon rolls, ramp jumps and rolls, explosions, etc. for
the six-year run of the series.
When the
"ChiPs" series ended, the Bill
Young Precision Driving Team was officially formed. Our credits include
such films as Terminator II,
Speed
I and II, Twister,
Armageddon,
Enemy
of the State and Gone in 60
Seconds among many others. We also have vast experience
in the commercial market, working for such companies as Chrysler,
Toyota,
Lexus,
Ford,
and Nissan to name a few.
No other driving
team has the close working relationship with law
enforcement agencies in southern California as we do.
We have worked with Officer Don Stanley, Officer Ron Nichols, Officer Mike
Waters, Officer Moody and other police officers of the Los Angeles Police
Department for the past twenty years.
Our drivers
provide their own vehicles. We also drive all types of studio
vehicles ranging from ambulances,
cabs,
police
vehicles (S.W.A.T. vans, Hummers),
military
vehicles, forklifts and
forty-foot
big rigs. We have in excess of sixty drivers many with
more than twenty years experience and we provide the safest working environment
for the actors, stunt personnel and set personnel.
